For two decades, Midlands-based Alf-Alfa (formerly known as Alf Alfa and the Wild Oats) has been one of the most popular and best known bands in the country, in demand for ceilidhs, barn dances, folk festivals, beer festivals, weddings, birthdays and an increasing number of other reasons for having a good time.

Alf-Alfa's repertoire is firmly based in the English ceilidh tradition, with the occasional nod towards Ireland and Scotland.  It is also delightfully influenced by Western Swing, the jazz-tinged dance music of Texas, which adds a unique and distinctive zest to the Alf-Alfa beat.
